The International Air Services Commission (IASC), the Australian government agency governing airline capacities and route entitlements, has renewed Virgin Australia’s unrestricted flight capacity between Australia and Fiji, and between Australia and the Solomon Islands for five years.
The Commission said in a report that it would permit the airline to continue flying between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and destinations in Fiji.
The IASC also renewed Virgin Australia’s capacity of 180 seats per week each way between Australia and the Solomon Islands for five years.
Virgin Australia had applied for renewal of its flight capacity to Fiji and the Solomon Islands in early July. The airline operates daily flights to Fiji (Nadi) from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
