Australian airline Qantas has been named the official airline for the upcoming Australia and New Zealand segments of singer Taylor Swift’s The RED Tour.
The Australia/NZ segment of the tour will start with Swift performing at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on November 29 & 30. It will be followed by stadium shows in Sydney on December 4 and Brisbane on December 7, followed by performances in Melbourne, and Perth.
Seven-time GRAMMY winner Swift will become the first solo female artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium concert tour of Australia. The previous such tour was Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993.
Currently, the North American segment of The RED Tour is underway with 66 shows scheduled in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces.
Swift’s The RED Tour performances feature two multi-level stages, elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists and dynamic sets. Taylor plays electric guitar, banjo, piano and acoustic guitar and changes costumes up to 10 times over the course of the evening.
Songs from her record-breaking REDalbum as well as new versions of her other hit songs are performed during the shows.
