Jetstar, the low-cost subsidiary of Australian carrier Qantas, will launch flights between the South Australian capital city, Adelaide and Auckland, New Zealand from December.
The non-stop flights will operate three times per week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays – beginning on December 16. The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Air New Zealand currently also operates flights on the Adelaide to Auckland route with a total of six flights per week in each direction.
Adelaide Airport has welcomed the announcement of the new service by Jetstar with a senior official saying that the flights will offer additional choice for travel between South Australia and New Zealand.
