All Air New Zealand passengers can relax in a Koru Club Lounge before their flight on the airline from key New Zealand and Australia airports.
Here’s a hot tip if your plans include a flight on Air New Zealand – from New Zealand to Australia or to North America from Auckland and you’d like a place to relax, have a snack or charge your mobile devices before you take off.
Economy and Premium Economy class travelers will be allowed access to Air New Zealand’s Koru Club lounges in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland if they’re traveling on Air New Zealand or one of its partner airlines.
Of course, you’ll have to pay a fee – currently NZ$35 (about $28) for up to 4 hours and NZ$55 (about $45) for more than 4 hours at the domestic lounges and up to NZ$55 for up to 4 hours and NZ$85 (about $85) for over 4 hours at the international lounges – and admission can be subject to capacity rules.
Access to the lounges is open to passengers flying on partner airlines including Delta, Etihad, Virgin Australia, Hawaiian, and any Star Alliance airline.
From what we’ve heard, the Air New Zealand lounges aren’t up to the standards being set by Qantas and Virgin Australia – but if your flight is delayed or you’re facing a long layover, they’re worth a look.
