Qantas and Emirates celebrated their much awaited new alliance on Easter Sunday, March 31, with a 10-minute synchronized flight over Sydney displaying each of the airlines’ A380 mega-aircraft juxtaposed with Sydney’s iconic sites.
This video captures what is rumored to be the first time two A380s from different airlines have flown in unison – plus a view of the sites from the ground:
The Australian Business Traveller requested and received photos from people who recorded the display. Their photo collage traces the aircraft’s journey from Sydney Airport to Longreef to Watson’s Bay, along the Harbour, to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge before flying back to the airport.
Definitely worth a look on the AusBT website.
