Etihad Airways launched daily flights from Washington, DC’s Dulles International Airport to its hub in Abu Dhabi connecting the two capital cities for government, business and leisure travelers. The 15-hour flight will use A340 aircraft with seating for 200 passengers in economy class, 28 in business class and 12 in ultra-luxurious Diamond first class.
Dulles is the fourth North American destination for Etihad which also flies to Toronto, Chicago and JFK in New York. The airline plans to open a spacious premium lounge for first and business class passengers in Terminal A at Dulles this week.
From its hub in Abu Dhabi, passengers can connect to flights to over 80 destinations in Australia, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and continue their journey by flying around the world. In February, Etihad began daily flights to Brisbane to augment its existing services to Sydney and Melbourne and strengthen its relationship with Virgin Australia.
