QantasLink, the regional subsidiary of Qantas, has unveiled the new planned interiors and seats for five Boeing 717 aircraft joining its fleet. The 110-seat Boeing 717 aircraft will feature two cabin classes, with 12 Business class seats in a 2-2 configuration and 98 seats in the economy cabin. Initially, the planes will fly from Australia’s capital, Canberra, to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Updates on the five aircraft include an in-flight iPad seat-back entertainment center with streaming music, television shows and movies at every seat.
The aircraft will be will be introduced during 2014. Qantas Domestic’s 13 other Boeing 717s will be upgraded with new interiors in an all-economy configuration.
Qantas is also upgrading its Airbus A330s with new seats and interiors beginning in late 2014.
